Project 2 & 3 - Creative Choice
Exploration & Experimentation in Photography
In class we looked at 7 different types of experimental photography.
Here is the list:
1) Liquids & Refraction
2) Bubbles & Light
3) Strobe Lighting
4) Surrealism (pick one) a) textures overlays
b) combination of objects
5) Larger than Life
6) Macro Photography (3 shots)
7) Multiple Selves
You need to pick one to start with and pick up a copy of the instructions from me. Then, you will complete this project, submit it and hand it in. On Friday we will have a "show and tell" (informal critique) and take a look at everyone's first choice project. you will be able to explain what worked well for the topic you chose, what you needed to adjust from the initial instructions and what was challenging or easy about it. You can make suggestions to the next person to do it.
Then you will choose a second project from the list after this first show and tell/critique and complete it by the following Friday. The same protocol will follow with group discussion and Friday show & tell.
These two pieces should be two of your very best works in your portfolio! Have some fun with these - maybe you can come up with a way to divert from the basic concept of the project to make it even more creative and unique?
